MA/MS in Music

Morgan State's music master's degree develops working musicians, whether performers, composers, conductors or scholars. The program emphasizes performance skill, advanced theory and music history, including coursework on the history of Black music and composers of the African diaspora. No other historically Black university in the country runs a graduate music program, according to the page, and it holds accreditation from the National Association of Schools of Music.
