MA/MS in Music

The MS in Music and Technology is a graduate program for students who have produced substantial work beyond a typical four-year degree and who excel in music or technology. Students focus on an area such as recording, audio engineering, computer music, composition, performance or theory, with guidance from faculty in a collaborative setting. The curriculum combines core courses split between the School of Music and computing or electrical and computer engineering, student-chosen support courses, and a performance or capstone thesis. Coursework is counted in units rather than credits. Prospective students can use the program page to find the application link, contact details and curriculum information before they apply to the graduate program. The page also gives an overview of the curriculum and what the schedule looks like.
