This master's program in clinical psychology centers on evaluating, diagnosing and treating mental health conditions. It is taught in person on campus, and a master's-level psychology and counseling accrediting body has approved it.
The heart of the training is a year-long practicum in which students assess and treat adults, children and families under one-to-one supervision from licensed psychologists, with much of the work done in the department's own Psychological Center. Coursework covers intellectual and personality assessment, individual therapy with adults and children, and couples and family therapy.
The degree follows a thesis track only and finishes with a comprehensive examination and an oral defense. Graduate assistantships are available.
Prospective students can request information, arrange a campus visit or start an application through the links on the program page, and should confirm current requirements with the department before applying.
