AA/AS in Air Transportation

This pilot technology associate degree combines academic study with hands-on flight training. It is meant for students who hope to fly professionally for charter, business or airline operators, and students work toward Federal Aviation Administration certifications. Entry is selective. Because of federal medical and security requirements and the heavy cost of flight training, each candidate needs approval from the Aviation Program Director before starting. The page itemizes flight fees, including private pilot training on a Cessna aircraft and hourly flight costs, and warns that pricing can change without notice. Costs vary by individual. Planning ahead helps. Students should read the program page, review the college catalog for the full course list and speak with an advisor before registering, so that each term moves them steadily toward the credential they want.
