AA/AS in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications

The Network Systems Technology associate degree trains students to keep computer networks running. Graduates learn to plan, install, configure, monitor and troubleshoot local and wide area networks, and to judge whether a site can meet its future needs. Students use specialized tools to measure and tune network performance, and they practice teamwork with other information technology staff to keep systems secure, reliable and able to grow. Two certificates, Network Infrastructure and Network Support Technician, stack into the degree. The program is open access. The page lists estimated tuition for residents and non-residents, a lab charge and textbook costs, and sends readers to the catalog for the course sequence. Cited federal labor projections describe network analysis as a fast-growing occupation. Planning ahead helps. Students should read the program page, review the college catalog for the full course list and speak with an advisor before registering, so that each term moves them steadily toward the credential they want.
