Cert in Chemistry

The chemistry research certificate is designed for chemistry or biochemistry majors who want sustained research experience. Students learn research methods and interests and study the foundations of research in chemistry. The chemistry and biochemistry department offers it. Students study on the Fort Wayne campus of Purdue University Fort Wayne, where department faculty guide coursework and advising. The program page points prospective students to application, information request, and tuition resources, so planning for costs and next steps can begin early. Because it is a short credential, it suits students who want focused preparation that can sit alongside other studies or an existing career. The coursework is practical and project minded, and it can strengthen a resume or serve as a stepping stone toward a longer degree. Applicants should consult the department for current course lists, admission steps, and any prerequisites.
