Overview

Criminal Justice is an Associate of Science degree at Rockland Community College, run through the business and professional studies school. It gives students a base for continuing at a four-year college. The program covers law enforcement and explains how police departments, courts and corrections departments work together. It prepares graduates for entry-level roles across policing, corrections and court support, with employment possible in government and private or nonprofit settings. A transfer agreement with St. Thomas Aquinas College lets graduates with the required GPA continue toward a bachelor's degree and a Master of Public Administration in Criminal Justice, entering with junior standing and eligible for a transfer scholarship. The college positions its programs around local employer needs and describes its tuition as affordable, with advisors, mentors and counselors available to help students plan their route from first semester to graduation.
