BA/BS in Biology, General

This biology major is the broadest of the department's options, with six extra upper-level electives spread across environmental, organismal and molecular levels. It gives a base for many life science careers and for graduate or professional school admission. Students may take coastal ecology and oceanography courses at the university's campus in Ireland, pursue supervised research, and join biology clubs and honor societies. Internships have led to placements at pharmaceutical companies, a zoo and a veterinary clinic. The program is offered on campus with hybrid elements and ties into dual degree pathways.
