AA/AS in Architectural Sciences and Technology

The Architecture program at San Diego Mesa College combines design, drafting, and environmental thinking. Students may finish an associate degree and start work, or transfer to a university school of architecture. Studio work builds hand drawing, scale models, and digital modeling, alongside the research and analysis habits professionals rely on. Students also reflect on how buildings affect the people who use them. Sustainable design is woven through the curriculum, and instructors encourage a shared, whole-project approach to environmentally sensitive buildings. The program lays groundwork for architects, designers, and other built-environment careers. Students leave with a portfolio-minded foundation, practical drawing ability, and a clearer sense of how to continue in design. Prospective students can find requirement details, course lists, career information, and faculty contacts through the program's own page when planning their path. Interested applicants can also request information or arrange a campus visit there.
