Overview
The Public Affairs major at Seattle University gives students an integrated grounding in leadership, economics, policy, management and finance. It is aimed at people who want to work on public and social problems through local, state or federal government, or in the nonprofit sector.
Students are encouraged to look at problems from several perspectives and to practise problem-solving through internships tied to real community issues. The curriculum is flexible, so a student can choose a concentration that matches a particular career interest.
The major is run by the public affairs and nonprofit leadership department and is taught in person.
