BA/BS in Dance

TWU's BA in Dance blends performance, choreography, pedagogy and dance studies in a liberal arts setting. The program welcomes students of every body type and provides rigorous training across many dance forms, and it is accredited by the national dance schools association. Students choose between a Dance Studies concentration and a Dance Education option that includes professional education courses leading to a Texas dance teaching certificate for middle and secondary schools. Training covers styles such as contemporary, ballet, hip hop, tap, jazz and several cultural forms. An undergraduate student handbook outlines policies and expectations, and admission follows the standard TWU undergraduate process, which considers academic preparation and standardized test scores. Students may also review the accreditation and handbook details. Further details and contacts are listed on the program page.
