Cert in Business/Commerce, General

Earning this certificate shows employers that a student has finished a set of business courses, which helps graduates stand out in the job market. Early classes cover bookkeeping or financial accounting, business speech and an introduction to business. Students can finish the certificate online, though a few assignments or tests may need to be done in person. Communication, mathematics and human relations courses round out the schedule. The recommended schedule adds up to 30 units across the semesters of study. A cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0 is needed to graduate. The program is published in the 2026-2027 catalog of Truckee Meadows Community College in Nevada. Students follow the recommended schedule, which sets out the usual order in which courses are taken.
