MA/MS in Apparel and Textiles

This master's degree surveys the whole textile and apparel supply chain and prepares graduates for many different industry careers. There are three specializations: Textile Science; Fashion Merchandising; and a combined area on historic costume, textile conservation and cultural analysis. Students may write a thesis for 30 credits or skip it and take 33 credits. Classes meet at the Kingston campus in the daytime and evenings; the degree takes about two years full-time or three part-time, starting in fall or spring. The University of Rhode Island is a public land-grant and sea-grant institution with its main campus in Kingston.
