Cert in American Sign Language

This sign language and Deaf studies certificate of proficiency is designed for working professionals with an existing undergraduate or graduate degree, including nurses, educators and civil servants. It is taught in Indianapolis. Each student works with an advisor to assemble an individual plan of courses matching career aims. Learners build basic conversational signing plus a first look at Deaf culture, and they work alongside Deaf classmates and neighbors across the city. The certificate helps people deepen how well they can assist Deaf people and strengthens their professional prospects. Class sizes are small, which encourages participation and individual help. Vincennes University is institutionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, and prospective students can reach the admissions office at [email protected] or 812-888-4313 for questions about enrolling.
