Founded 1949 as the Ministry of Industry of the Northeastern People's Government affiliated Changchun Technical School of Accountancy.
Renamed Jilin Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Technical School 1983. Merged with Jilin University of Science and Technology, Jilin Specialized School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Changchun Technical School of Foreign Languages and Changchun Vocational College 1987.
