Created 1940 as War Industry Bureau 11th Technological School.
Successively became 21 Factory Vocational School 1950, Chongqing Technology Vocational College 1960, Chongqing Technology College 1965. Acquired present status 1986 and renamed Chongqing Technology Administration College.
Became Chongqing Technology College 1999. Incorporated Chongqing Adminsitration and Economics Cadres College 2001.
Acquired present title 2009.
