Overview
Founded 1891 as the Medical School of Huamei Hospital.
Became Gonghe Medical School in 1903, eventually renamed Medical College of Qilu University which then merged with Shandong Medical College in Jinan city in 1952, then later with Shandong College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and moved to Tai’an 1970; renamed Taishan Medical University in 1981. Following a merger with Shandong Academy of Medical Sciences and Shandong Provincial Hospital in 2019, the university became Shandong First Medical University.
