Overview
AAB College, known locally as Kolegji AAB, is a privately run higher education institution based in Pristina, Kosovo, with its campus on Elez Berisha Street.
By its own account it was the first non-public institution of higher education in the country, created in the years immediately after the war, once conditions allowed normal civic life to resume and the long state monopoly over education could be challenged. Teaching is organised into thirteen faculties: Public Administration, Architecture, Arts, Economics, Foreign Languages, Law, Physical Culture and Sport, Mass Communication, Computer Science, Social Sciences, Psychology, Health Sciences and Dentistry.
Across these units the college lists 35 Bachelor and Master programmes, and its website is available in both Albanian and English. Beyond the classroom, the college runs a university library with an electronic collection and a digital catalogue, a research and science office, a publishing house, a theatre, a career centre and a quality assurance office.
Student media include a television channel, a radio station and several student newspapers.
The AAB Institute delivers training courses, among them a programme for certified accountants and auditors, and a shuttle bus connects the campus with central Pristina. The college reports that about three quarters of its graduates are in employment, and it says it ranked first among non-public Albanian institutions in the January 2022 edition of the Transparent Ranking, which draws on Google Scholar data.
