Founded in 1912, the Omdurman Islamic University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the large metropolis of Khartoum (population range of over 5,000,000 inhabitants).
Officially recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Sudan, Omdurman Islamic University (OIU) is a large-sized coeducational Sudanese higher education institution formally affiliated with the Islamic religion.
