Program details
Overview
The programme prepares teachers and education professionals for special needs education. Its units cover how effective learning works, a structured behaviour approach that is suited to a special school context, and the structure and culture of a school together with how collaboration and networks take shape. Students apply these insights in workplace learning, working in a cyclical, goal-directed way alongside colleagues.
The course is built on scientific frameworks, practice assignments and reflection on the student's own school. The profile addresses people who already work as teachers, therapists, speech therapists or social workers and want to support pupils with diverse needs. The award is a bachelor-level qualification in special needs education, with units delivered mainly in the first semester.
