Program details
Overview
The programme looks at later life from several angles: how older people give meaning to their lives, how they are supported through loss, loneliness and the end of life, and how social networks can be strengthened. Units combine theory with practice projects and cover dementia, autonomy when dependence increases, and age-friendly environments, with active ageing examined through concrete plans.
Students develop conversation and support techniques, learn to work with small groups and to build communities, and reflect on care ethics. The programme is a bachelor-level qualification for working with older adults, preparing graduates to be a trusted figure for older people and to represent the interests of vulnerable groups.
