— it helps other students.
This six-month, full-time bridge course refreshes diploma-qualified nurses on advanced clinical practice and readies them for employment opportunities in India. Each batch takes in up to 50 students, drawn from nurses who already hold a Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery, and the certificate is issued on completion by Apollo Bhutan Education Private Limited.
The curriculum splits into two sections. The first centres on advanced clinical nursing, pairing 120 hours of theory with 640 hours of supervised practice. The second turns to the professional side of nursing, taking in management, teaching, and research methods across 120 theory hours and 80 practical hours, for a combined 240 theory hours and 720 practical hours overall. The clinical section covers patient safety, infection control, and informed consent, while the professional section works through quality assurance, accreditation, auditing, and health insurance topics.
On finishing the course, graduates become eligible for a direct route into roles at Apollo Hospitals facilities in India.
