Sciences humaines avec mathématiques supplémentaires, profil Comportement humain et interactions sociales (300.M1), est la variante enrichie en mathématiques du DEC préuniversitaire de deux ans offert au cégep Édouard-Montpetit sous le profil Comportement humain et interactions sociales. La grille de cours propre à cette variante ajoute au tronc commun du profil un cours de calcul différentiel appliqué aux sciences humaines, en plus des cours réguliers de méthodologie, de psychologie et d'anthropologie communs à l'ensemble du profil. Cette option avec mathématiques permet, selon la page, d'accéder à des programmes universitaires additionnels qui exigent ce préalable, notamment l'actuariat, l'architecture, l'enseignement des mathématiques au secondaire, l'informatique et les mathématiques, en plus des programmes déjà accessibles sans mathématiques comme la psychologie, la criminologie, l'anthropologie ou le travail social. Admission Requirements: Admission is based on Cégep Édouard-Montpetit's general college requirement: a Diplôme d'études secondaires (DES), or a Diplôme d'études professionnelles (DEP) completed with any missing 4th- or 5th-secondary courses, or a Certificat d'équivalence d'études secondaires (CEES). This Sciences humaines profile, taken with mathématiques supplémentaires, requires Mathematics TS 5th-secondary, SN 5th-secondary, or 526 in place of the standard-track math prerequisite. Secondary 5 applicants must show a general average of at least 65%, with one required course allowed to fall between 50% and 60%. Applicants scoring below 65% on the Secondary 5 French writing component together with a secondary average under 75% must take a remedial French course. Registration and related fees run about CAD 273 per session for a full-time student. Enrolment for 2027-2028 is limited, and the college notes not every qualified applicant is guaranteed a place.
