Program details
Overview
An 8-month, full-time-equivalent certificate that builds introductory competencies for ministry leadership, combining basic biblical and theological literacy with foundational ministry knowledge and practice. The program fulfills the Recognition of Ministry (ROM) credential requirements set by the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada (PAOC), preparing graduates for entry-level ministry roles within Pentecostal church contexts. Coursework is offered through a mix of on-site, online, and directed-study formats. As an entry-level Horizon College credential, the certificate can also serve as a foundation for students intending to continue into further certificate, diploma, or degree studies at the college, combining practical ministry preparation with the institution's emphasis on Christian character and spiritual formation. Students develop an introductory working knowledge of Pentecostal beliefs and practice alongside practical grounding in ministry roles and responsibilities.
