Overview
Horizon College and Seminary is a Christian leadership institution in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, combining an undergraduate college with a graduate seminary.
Founded in 1935, it is an affiliated college of the University of Saskatchewan and holds accreditation from the Association for Biblical Higher Education to grant certificates and degrees at the baccalaureate and master's levels; it has also been an associate member of the Association of Theological Schools since 2023. Horizon partners with four Western Canadian denominational districts, including the Christian and Missionary Alliance, the Church of God in Western Canada, and the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada, while welcoming students of other backgrounds.
The College trains undergraduates through certificate, diploma, and BA/BTh programs in pastoral, youth, children's, media, and entrepreneurial ministry, plus dual-track degrees that pair Christian Studies with a trade or professional field through partner institutions such as Saskatchewan Polytechnic. The Seminary offers graduate certificates, diplomas, and master's degrees, including a Master of Divinity and programs in biblical and theological studies, ministry leadership, and pastoral counselling.
Programs are delivered on the Saskatoon campus, through regional church-hub cohorts, and online.
Horizon confers its own certificates, diplomas, and degrees, preparing graduates for pastoral, missional, and marketplace ministry across evangelical and Pentecostal churches in Canada and beyond.
