Diploma in Animal Science Technology: Beef Science Major

The Animal Science Technology: Beef Science Major Diploma is a two-year program at Lakeland's Vermilion campus focused on the beef industry, covering commercial and purebred cow/calf operations as well as feedlot production. Students experience the complete production cycle, from calving onward, and take coursework spanning livestock genetics to meat science. Learning is hands-on and student-led, delivered through Lakeland's student-managed farm model and industry practicum placements. The program is delivered face-to-face and prepares graduates for roles across commercial beef production, purebred operations, and the wider beef supply chain.
