Admission Requirements: Regular admission needs Alberta Grade 12 English Language Arts 30-1, four subjects from Admission Subject Groups A, B, C or D (Mathematics 30-1 or 30-2 required for intending Economics or Psychology majors), with an overall average of at least 65% and no course grade below 50%. Applicants with 9 or more transferable university-level credits must also hold a minimum Admission Grade Point Average (AGPA) of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale. Mature applicants (20 or older, out of full-time high school at least one year) may substitute ELA 30-1 at 65% or three university-level English credits including ENGL 111 at a minimum grade of C. Applicants with 24 or more university-level credits are admitted on a minimum 2.0 AGPA. The programme page defers to MacEwan's institution-wide English Language Proficiency Requirement for all applicants regardless of citizenship; accepted evidence there includes IELTS Academic 6.5 overall (5.5 per band), TOEFL iBT 86 (21 per section), Duolingo 115, CAEL 70 (60 per band) or PTE Academic 59 (56 per band). Applicants with two unsatisfactory academic records within five years face a three-year wait before reconsideration.
