The Liberal Arts program provides a broad, non-specialist undergraduate education in the humanities, organized around three streams: literature and the arts, including theatre and architecture; history, culture, and society; and philosophy and religion. Students in the program pursue a minor in a language alongside their liberal arts coursework. Sample courses include Introduction to Modern Art, Feminism in Art and Art History, Japanese Cinema, and Introduction to East Asian Art. The program is offered within the Faculty of Arts and covers cultural works and thought from a range of societies and historical periods. Graduates pursue paths including research, editing, archival work, community work, and further graduate study in a range of humanities fields.
