Sheridan College offers Diploma in Computer Programming, Virtual, Online, a diploma in Software Engineering programme in Oakville, Canada. The programme runs for 2 years, delivered on campus. Delivered online, this diploma takes an applied, hands-on approach to programming over four consecutive 14-week semesters, completing in 16 months. Students study web development and interface design in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and PHP, programming in Java, C#, XML and .NET, database design using Oracle and MySQL, network communications and configuration, systems analysis and design, and mobile application development, with round-the-clock access to course materials through the college's learning management system. On graduating, students can move into the third year of the related Computer Systems Technology - Analysis and Design program for a three-year advanced diploma, or apply to the Honours Bachelor of Information Sciences (Cyber Security) or Honours Bachelor of Computer Science (Mobile Computing) degrees after a bridging semester.

Admission Requirements: Direct entry requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, including Grade 12 English (ENG4C or ENG4U) and Grade 12 Mathematics (C, or U; applicants presenting MAP4C need a minimum 70%) or Grade 11 Functions (MCR3U) or Functions and Applications (MCF3M), or mature-student status for applicants 19 or older missing a course. Applicants who do not meet the mathematics requirement may take the OCMA math test, which requires a minimum 70% passing grade. Eligible applicants are ranked on the average of their six highest senior-level credits, including the required courses, and/or pre-admission test results. Applicants whose first language is not English must meet Sheridan's institution-wide English Proficiency Requirements: for this Ontario College Diploma, IELTS Academic overall 6.0 with no band below 5.5, PTE Academic overall 58 with no section below 49, Duolingo English Test overall 105 with no sub-score below 85, or CAEL overall 60 with no section below 50.

Winter and Spring/Summer 2027 entry use the same portal but Sheridan publishes no fixed equal-consideration date for them and reviews those on an ongoing basis. International applicants apply directly through Sheridan's own International Application Portal, not ontariocolleges.ca; the college publishes no fixed international deadline and admits on a rolling, space-permitting basis, so early application is advised for the 2027 entry cycle.
