Overview
This one-year graduate certificate prepares students to plan, develop and produce complete advertising and marketing communications campaigns across digital and traditional channels. The programme builds account-management skills for advertising and marketing-communications agencies, covering client relationship management, campaign strategy, creative briefing, media planning and cross-channel execution. Students work on applied projects that mirror agency account-management workflows, developing the coordination and client-service skills used to manage campaigns from concept through delivery. The credential is designed for graduates of related postsecondary programmes, or holders of a diploma or degree in another field, who want to move into account-management roles within advertising and marketing-communications agencies. On completion, graduates are prepared for entry-level account-coordinator and account-management positions in agency and in-house marketing settings.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Applicants require a postsecondary 3-year advanced diploma or a 3- or 4-year degree, or a postsecondary 2-year diploma combined with demonstrated competence through educational experience and/or related work experience. Applicants whose first language is not English must meet Sheridan's institution-wide English Proficiency Requirement for degree, master's and graduate-certificate programs: IELTS Academic overall 6.5 (no band below 6.0), TOEFL iBT overall 88 (no section below 21), PTE Academic overall 60 (no section below 57), or Duolingo English Test overall 115 (no sub-score below 95).
