Overview
The Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance, cooperative program, is a four-year undergraduate degree offered by Universite de Moncton across 120 credits, split between foundational business courses, finance-specific courses, and related disciplines. It prepares students to become finance managers with expertise in financial management techniques and portfolio management, covering investment and financing decisions, working capital management, personal financial planning, securities, international finance, financial institutions, and derivatives. The curriculum uses case studies, stock market simulations, and a capstone project to link theory with practice. The cooperative stream integrates three paid work terms (Stage I, II and III) of twelve to sixteen weeks each into the four years of study, alongside core business courses such as financial and management accounting, quantitative methods, statistics, business law, and micro- and macroeconomics. Students may begin the program at the Moncton, Edmundston, or Shippagan campus, with Edmundston and Shippagan students completing their final two years at Moncton. Graduates receive a Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance) with the cooperative designation.
