Overview
The Diploma in Community Analysis and Action is a two-year, full-time (or five-year part-time), on-campus program offered at Université de Moncton's Edmundston, Moncton, and Shippagan campuses. The 45-credit program provides training centred on human relations, community and organizational action, and management, developing versatile graduates equipped to handle a variety of situations encountered in the labour market, particularly within community, public, and parapublic organizations. Graduates are not trained to perform tasks normally assigned to social workers. Of the 45 credits, 39 are required discipline courses, opening with a microeconomics course covering the price system, supply and demand, the theory of the firm, cost functions, consumer behaviour, and market structures from perfect competition to monopoly. Training is delivered mainly through lecture and semi-lecture courses, workshops, and a practical work placement. The diploma leads to a credential distinct from a bachelor's degree.

Admission Requirements: Admission requires a high school diploma including French 12 (French 10411 or equivalent, replaceable by a French-second-language or terminal English course for immersion graduates) and four other eligible courses, with a minimum mark of 65% in French and 60% in the other required courses and an overall average of at least 70% across the five admission courses. Applicants must submit an official secondary school transcript and, where applicable, an official college or university transcript, and a $60 CAD application fee is payable with first-semester tuition.
