Overview

The Bachelor of Applied Computer Science (B.I.A.) is a four-year, on-campus program offered across Université de Moncton's Edmundston, Moncton, and Shippagan campuses; students starting at Edmundston or Shippagan complete their first year (or first two years, at Edmundston) there before finishing the degree at Moncton. The program trains software analysts with a solid grounding in programming languages, telecommunications, databases, software engineering, multimedia, and computer architecture, supported by coursework in science, mathematics, and administration. Graduates are prepared for employment as software analysts and developers in industry and public service, as well as for further studies in research or higher education. The curriculum combines theoretical computer-science foundations with applied software-development skills, and the program suits students seeking a broad, industry-oriented computer science credential with strong technical and analytical training.
