This Ph.D. program is a 90-credit doctorate in education delivered by the Universite du Quebec a Montreal (UQAM) in association with UQTR and four other Universite du Quebec institutions (UQAC, UQO, UQAR, UQAT). It trains researchers through an interdisciplinary approach to educational research, developing new explanatory and intervention models for use in educational, school, social, and governmental settings. Students investigate an educational situation in a given environment, taking into account its full range of contributing components, under the guidance of a research supervisor and program committee. First-year coursework is delivered at UQAM, with financial assistance available toward related travel costs. The program draws on a pool of more than 250 faculty members across the network and offers an Universalis Causa doctoral scholarship to eligible full-time international students. It is offered full-time or part-time at the Trois-Rivieres campus, admitting to the fall term only, with enrolment capped at 7 places.
