Geomatics Engineering - MSc - Thesis

This thesis-based Master of Science in Geomatics Engineering is a research degree covering physical geodesy, GNSS theory and applications, Earth observation for the environment, and geocomputation. Students may pursue one of five specializations, including positioning and navigation, geodesy and remote sensing, digital imaging, and GIScience. The program requires an original theoretical or practical research thesis, submitted and defended before a committee, along with a professional development seminar on communication and presentation skills. Full-time study usually takes two years beyond a bachelor's degree, with a maximum of four years permitted. Admission is offered in September, January, and July. Applicants require a four-year baccalaureate degree or equivalent from a recognized institution, a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale over the final two years of undergraduate study, a curriculum vitae, a statement of purpose, and two reference letters. Applicants whose first language is not English must meet the Faculty's English language proficiency requirement. The program is offered by the Department of Geomatics Engineering.
