Admission Requirements: The Haskayne School of Business admits to the Master of Business Administration through its general MBA admission requirements, shared across the Full-time, Flexible and Executive pathways. Applicants need a four-year undergraduate degree (or, for the Accelerated MBA, a four-year undergraduate business degree or Master of Management completed within the past 10 years) and a minimum GPA of 3.0, plus a minimum of two years of full-time work experience. A GMAT or GRE is waived for applicants with a GPA of 3.0 or above from a Canadian or U.S. institution; otherwise a recommended minimum GMAT of 550 (515 Focus) or GRE equivalent applies, and for GPAs of 2.50-2.99 the applicant must satisfy (GPA x 200) + GMAT >= 1150, with GMAT waivers available on request. Non-native English speakers must present IELTS Academic 7.0 overall with at least 6.0 in each section, TOEFL iBT 97 overall with at least 20 in each section (or, for tests after Jan. 21, 2026, 5.0 overall with 4.0 in reading, writing and speaking and 4.5 in listening), CAEL 70 overall, or an Academic Communication Certificate grade of A- or better. The application also requires a resume, two short essays, unofficial transcripts and official GMAT/GRE and English-proficiency results, with a virtual admissions interview required for some applicants.

Application Deadline:For Fall 2027 entry, the University of Calgary opens undergraduate applications for domestic applicants on 1 October 2026 and for international applicants on 15 August 2026, both closing on the same firm application deadline of 1 March 2027, with supporting documents due by 15 March 2027 and offers accepted by 1 May 2027. International applicants follow the identical March 1 deadline; the university publishes no separate, later international closing date. Applications are not accepted on a rolling basis after the deadline for most direct-entry programmes, though a small number of programmes (e.g. Nursing) run further selection rounds into the summer while space remains.
