Overview
The Master of Arts in Communication focuses on two fields of research, media studies and organizational communication, and offers a thesis option or a research paper option, the latter including the possibility of a double degree offered jointly with the Universite catholique de Louvain. Within the research paper stream, students may select a concentration in health communication. The program develops critical evaluation skills, epistemological awareness across French- and English-language scholarly traditions, and the ability to communicate research findings to diverse audiences. Admission requires an honours bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with a specialization or major in Communication or a related discipline; alternatively, an honours bachelor's degree in another discipline combined with a minor in Communication and at least two years of relevant experience, or an honours bachelor's degree in another discipline with at least three years of relevant experience, each with a minimum overall average of 70% (B). Full-time thesis-option students are expected to complete requirements within two years.

A minimum overall average of 70% (B), calculated in accordance with graduate studies guidelines, is required. All applicants must be able to understand, speak and write proficiently in either English or French, with at least a passive knowledge of the other language.
