Overview
This graduate program leads to a Master of Business Administration from the University of Ottawa's Telfer School of Management, offered as either a 12-month intensive program or a 24-month professional program, in English and French, with some concentrations offered only in English. The compulsory curriculum covers data analysis, strategy, leadership, accounting, finance, marketing, human resources, operations, and governance, complemented by a smaller block of elective units. Students may pursue one of four areas of concentration, finance, digital transformation and analytics, management consulting, or sustainable management, or complete the degree without a declared specialization. An optional internship is available after the first term, and the program includes a capstone simulation course that integrates material from across the curriculum. Admission Requirements: The Telfer MBA requires a Canadian baccalaureate degree or equivalent with a minimum admission average of B (70%), plus at least three years of full-time managerial or professional work experience (part-time work, internships and co-op do not count, though they are considered favourably); candidates with at least ten years of strong managerial experience may be considered without meeting the standard degree or average requirement. The English-stream program requires a competitive GMAT or GRE score (the French stream requires TAGE MAGE). Applicants whose first language is neither English nor French must demonstrate proficiency unless exempt by a degree completed in English within the last five years or by extended recent residence/work in an English-speaking country: TOEFL iBT 100, IELTS Academic 7 overall with no section below 6, CanTest 14 overall with no section below 4.0, or PTE Academic 68, valid within two years of the September entry date. A letter of intent of at least 500 words is also required.

Application Deadline:Domestic applicants apply directly to uOttawa; for Fall 2027 entry, applications open September 17, 2026 and close June 1, 2027 for most programs (document deadline June 15, 2027), while Winter 2027 entry closes October 17, 2026 for domestic applicants only. International applicants use the same opening date, with a general Fall 2027 deadline of May 1, 2027 (documents May 15, 2027) and no Winter-term admission for most programs. Engineering programs (Software, Mechanical, Electrical and Computer) close earlier, on January 15, 2027, for both domestic and international applicants, and Computer Science's international deadline is also January 15, 2027 though its domestic deadline follows the general June 1, 2027 date. Admission is not described as rolling. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
