PhD in Applied Statistics and Operations Research

The doctoral programme centres on research and writing a doctoral thesis, with results presented at conferences and in technical periodicals. Graduates analyse large economic-technical and bio-economic datasets, interpret complex statistical results and assess the interconnections within data. They develop, validate and implement optimisation models for decision support. Graduates suit analytical and managerial roles in financial institutions, consulting firms, companies and academia, including positions as researchers, senior analysts, risk managers and data analysts. The four-year full-time programme is taught in English.
