Overview

The doctoral programme in Horticulture prepares graduates for independent research and teamwork in horticulture. Research topics on the page include biostimulating algae in aquaponic systems, control systems for hydroponic vegetable production and biotechnological approaches to pathogen losses. The four-year programme runs full-time or combined. Graduates work at research institutions, lead horticultural and winemaking teams, or work as agricultural consultants and university lecturers. The doctoral state examination includes a defended thesis and an oral examination, and students learn to present arguments in English.
