PhD in Ekonomika cestovního ruchu

This doctoral programme prepares students mainly for academic research in tourism economics. It also aims to train graduates as experts for the wide field of tourism, by applying new research and development methods to raise the efficiency of administrative processes within integrated enterprise systems, especially in service and hospitality businesses. Students learn to decide independently on the basis of critical evaluation of sources and critical discussion using professional argument, and they develop professional language skills, especially in English. Mathematical and statistical methods are applied to research problems. Emphasis falls on solving an independent research task, preparing quality presentations and publishing the outputs. Study is on-campus or combined and taught in Czech.
