Program details

Overview

This Erasmus Mundus degree has students based and living across at least two European countries, blending practice-oriented and theoretical approaches to the study of journalism within a cross-disciplinary programme that sits at the intersection of social sciences and humanities. Part of the Erasmus Mundus framework since 2005, the degree has evolved to address the way media, politics, technology and culture increasingly overlap. The first year is spent jointly at the Danish School of Media and Journalism and across Aarhus University's Department of Political Science and Department of Information and Media Studies; in the second year, the programme splits into four specialisations, each offered by a different partner university, allowing students to customise their studies around a chosen area.
