Overview

The plumbing and heating installer programme builds on vocational training and prepares graduates to be authorised and to work as managers, advisers or self-employed in the plumbing and technical sector. Students learn sanitary, heating, gas and indoor climate technology, plus automation and control. Green solutions include hybrid systems, biogas and hydrogen, and students learn to analyse energy consumption. The programme takes about two years. The first ten weeks of the fourth semester are a placement in a relevant company, where students test their skills in practice. The final project is either a tender for a plumbing installation or a specialised topic, usually continuing from the placement. Electives in the first and second semesters include the Molio description tool and renewable energy.
