Program details

Overview

The career-change merit pedagogue programme suits people who work at least 30 hours a week as pedagogical assistants or unqualified pedagogues and want a professional bachelor. It lasts two and a half years over five semesters, and students keep their salary from their employer throughout. Instead of an ordinary internship, students complete a two-month rotation in a second institution arranged with the employer, placed at any point before the fifth semester. The specialisation is day-care pedagogy for children aged 0 to 5, with an interprofessional element for working with teachers, social workers and nurses.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Completed higher education at bachelor level or above; the FAQ also cites two to five years of experience as a pedagogical assistant or unqualified pedagogue at 30 hours or more a week.
