Overview
Midwifery students complete clinical placements at training sites, and each student is attached to a tutor from the same site who gives advice during the placement. Students can also choose placements abroad, where they experience different birth cultures.
A placement abroad is possible in the fourth semester, in Ireland, Sweden, Norway, Greenland or the Faroe Islands, lasting four, five or eight weeks. In the seventh semester students can complete a placement of three to four weeks with a partner in Greenland, Norway, Sweden, the Faroe Islands, England or Uganda, or at a site of their own choice.
