Overview
The teacher education at UC SYD prepares students to teach in the Danish folkeskole. Since the new teacher education took effect on 1 August 2023, teaching is dialogue-based and close, with a high number of teaching hours, one-to-one conversations with lecturers during the course, and continuous feedback that connects theory with practice. Students can combine most of the subjects taught in schools, for example languages, science or inclusion, to shape their own degree.
Students can also take part in research projects alongside fellow students and lecturers, and the programme is built on a close community where students and lecturers are on first-name terms.
