Fiji National University's Diploma in Applied Fisheries (Level 5) is a two-year, full-time programme that builds competence across fish and shellfish farming, inshore and offshore fisheries work, the technology used to catch fish, the biology and ecology behind fish stocks, how those stocks are assessed, and the administrative side of running a fisheries operation. Graduates gain an education geared toward direct employment or self-employment in Fiji's fisheries sector, while also laying a foundation for continuing learning and personal development.
