This diploma prepares students for technical posts in quantity surveying, supporting QS project officers and senior staff in preparing bills of quantities and the schedules used across different stages of a construction project. Students build knowledge of materials, regulations, building codes and bylaws as applied both locally and abroad, giving them the technical grounding expected of a quantity-surveying technician.
Taught at the Samabula campus over three years for 360 credit points, the Quantity Surveying major opens with construction science, materials and surveying before moving through building measurement, contract management, estimating and tendering, and service measurement across the second year.
