This two-year, full-time diploma builds technical expertise across wood science, wood processing and value-adding, wood protection, machinery and workplace safety, and the business side of forestry and non-timber forest products. It is designed to leave graduates ready for employment or self-employment in the wood-processing sector, while also building a foundation for further learning and career development.
The programme accepts several entry pathways: direct from secondary school, by cross-credit from a Certificate IV in Wood Processing into the second year, or from an Advanced Certificate in Wood Craft Technology or Forest Management, reflecting close ties between this diploma and Fiji's vocational forestry and wood-trade training.
