This doctorate examines the political and development ideologies that shape how policy is formed and carried out across a wide range of fields, including public health, housing, social security and protection, child protection, ageing and disability care. It also reaches into wider areas that worry society, among them young people, racial and cultural diversity, people being pushed to the margins, family life, and offending behaviour, together with newer debates framed around human rights.
